David Frost

David Frost was born in Cornwall. Following training at Dartington College of Arts, he has divided his time between work in education, trumpet playing and conducting. He is currently brass team leader for the Cornwall Music Service, conductor of the Cornwall Youth Orchestra, musical director for Duchy Opera and musical director of the St. Mewan Sinfonia, Cornwall's only established community string orchestra.

In addition to his Cornish activities, David is a brass examiner and in-service training provider for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and an adjudicator.

David has conducted the orchestra for all Duchy Ballet productions.

He has written the score for the 2010 production of The Mermaid of Zennor to be premiered by Duchy Ballet
