St Austell Lions Club Swimathon

Julie receives the trophy for being "Best Fundraiser" from St Austell Lions Club

The Lions Club of St Austell hold an annual charity Swimathon.

The latest event was held at the Polkyth Leisure Centre in November with the money raised from the event being donated to swimmers' chosen charities or to the club's charity, The Cornwall Air Ambulance.

Teams were made up of six swimmers who each swam about six double lengths of the pool for an hour.

Julie, Marnie and Bella took part and did a fantastic job. Julie alone has raised over £400 for Duchy Ballet.

St Austell Lions president Bob Branney presented the "Best Fundraiser" trophy to Julie at rehearsals, watched by Marnie, Bella and other members of the cast.
