Extract from an article by Hannah Williams, one of Duchy Ballet's young dancers.

The importance of British Theatre

To look up into the dark space above, seeing only the slight glistening of people’s glasses and to hear the roaring applause echo within the walls of the auditorium, leaves any performer both emotional and invigorated, I’m sure. To be in the eyes of hundreds of people is a feeling unique to the stage. To be the cause of the tears and of the smiles makes theatre truly special. I believe a finale smile to be a true smile. And therefore, let it live and thrive on the impact it has upon us; the audience and the proud British nation.
