The Snow Queen & Stepping Out To Gershwin

With over a hundred dancers, sumptuous scenery and costumes and glorious music by Glazunov played by a live orchestra, The Snow Queen is a spectacular ballet on a grand scale. Be entranced as we follow Gerda’s perilous journey to rescue her friend, Kay, from the clutches of the sinister Snow Queen. Plus a wonderful nostalgic recreation of the Broadway and Hollywood musical world of the 1920s and 30s - and what better than Gershwin’s melodies to capture the mood? Non-stop music, singing and dancing - and what dancing! This is Stepping out to Gershwin.

This year’s Gala Night on Thursday is in aid of the Cornwall Community Foundation, which gives grants to local good causes in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Many of the projects supported involve young people, and last year two young dancers from Duchy Ballet received help towards their further professional training.
